Computer Training Classes

Hitchcock Academy this Fall!

Last fall the
Massachusetts Department of
Business & Technology awarded a second
Technical Assistance Grant to the Quaboag Valley Community Development
Corporation (QVCDC). Funds from this grant are intended to assist small
businesses around our region with access to consultants, experts, and training.
New programs, seminars, and services will be available around the region this
Spring as the Quaboag Valley CDC launches it’s recently funded Technical
Assistance program.
In addition to one-on-one technical assistance;
business-planning courses, computer training, and seminars several Marketing & Financial workshops are scheduled on topics such as:
Developing a Marketing Plan, Creating Your Own Marketing Materials,
Bookkeeping Basics and Managing Cash Flow. These seminars are open
to existing small businesses and soon-to-be entrepreneurs.

Mini-Courses for
Businesses, Non-profits & Municipalities
These are
hands-on classes aimed at strengthening
the use of certain features in the following applications.
Sessions include:
DIY
Marketing
w/Publisher - Creating Business Cards & Letterhead, Custom Flyers
& Brochures and Newsletter
Web Basics - Basic HTML, eCommerce, Blogging & Design Basics
Outlook - Setting-up Multiple Accounts, Outlook Calendar Features and
Custom Signatures
Access - Creating Reports & Working with Queries, Database Maintenance
and Exporting Data
Sessions are two
hours and handouts are included in the cost of the course.
Prerequisites for
these classes are: Windows, Internet & Word Basic.
